Two adults and three children were injured in a crash Wednesday afternoon on the Stevenson Expressway.

About 2:20 p.m., a vehicle switching lanes near Damen Avenue struck another vehicle before swerving and hitting a third, according to preliminary reports from Illinois State Police.

The first and second driver, along with three children traveling in the first vehicle, were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

All outbound lanes were closed until about 3:10 p.m., Bufford said.
