Man killed in Joliet motorcycle crash

Officers responded to the crash about 10:30 p.m. near South Chicago Street and Doris Avenue, Joliet police said in a statement.

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday in suburban Joliet.

Officers responded to the crash about 10:30 p.m. near South Chicago Street and Doris Avenue, Joliet police said in a statement.

According to preliminary information, a 57-year-old man was riding a motorcycle on Chicago when it struck an SUV that was making a left turn onto Doris, police said.

The 57-year-old was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The 69-year-old man driving the SUV was not injured.

The Joliet Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating.
