Motorcyclist dies in Bridgeport crash

A 20-year-old man was riding a motorcycle about 6:20 p.m. in the 2900 block of South Archer Avenue when he ran a red light and crashed into the side of a sedan which was making a left turn, Chicago police said.

A man on a motorcycle was killed in a crash Tuesday in Bridgeport.

A 20-year-old man was riding a motorcycle about 6:20 p.m. in the 2900 block of South Archer Avenue when he ran a red light and crashed into the side of a sedan which was making a left turn, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. An autopsy by the Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled his death an accident.

The 54-year-old man driving the sedan was not issued any citations, police said.
