Metra SouthWest Service was disrupted Monday after a person was struck by a train in suburban Orland Park.

The person was struck by train #815 around 1:45 p.m. between the 153rd Street and 179th Street stops, a Metra spokesperson said.

Trains have been stopped near 179th street, officials said.

Details on any injuries were not immediately available.
