View image | gettyimages.comSeattle Seahawks Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor has been activated and is expected to play against the Bears Sunday, the team has announced.

It will be Chancellor’s first game this season after sitting out as he sought litigation with the Seahawks for a new contract.

According to ESPN, Seattle will monitor his workload to see how he responds after having missed all of training camp and the first two games.

He looked just like he’s always looked, coach Pete Carroll said Friday. A real credit to the work that he did while he was home. He’s in great shape, and he looked terrific.

With Chancellor’s return, the team waived Dion Bailey to make room on the roster. Bailey opened the season as Chancellor’s fill-in, but struggled at times.
