On Wednesday, the attorney for the accuser in the Patrick Kane case dropped a bombshell when he claimed the evidence bag that once contained the woman’s rape kit apparently had been tampered with.
Hours later the Erie County agency in charge of the investigation disputed attorney Thomas J. Eoannou’s charge and said the rape kit was in its original package with the chain of custody intact.
On Thursday, Erie County district attorney Frank Sedita scheduled an 11 a.m. (ET) press conference on Friday to address the tampering allegations.
Erie County DA Frank Sedita, III will be holding a press conf. Friday at 11am to discuss alleged evidence tampering in Kane case.

Kane’s attorney Paul Cambria had this to say Wednesday about the stunning development: “They have an incentive to say the evidence is compromised, we have none.”
