Empire Today, the shop-at-home carpet and flooring company, is opening its first-ever retail stores.

The Northlake company is opening three stores in the New York City and Washington, D.C. areas later this week and next week.

“Empire Today is using its 55 years of shop at home experience to create a better kind of flooring store,” said Keith Weinberger, Empire’s chief marketing officer. “Empire Today wants to take the stress out of getting new floors.”

The retail stores will feature personal flooring specialists who will work with a customer in the store as well as take measurements at customers’ homes and schedule installation.
