Tyson Foods has recalled 28-ounce packages of its Anytizer Fully-Cooked Buffalo Style Chicken Wings. | Tyson

Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling some packages of Tyson Anytizers Hot Wings Buffalo Style Chicken Wings.

The company said it is recalling 28-ounce packages produced Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 at its factory in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. In all, the recall covers 52,486 pounds of chicken wings.

The recall was initiated after some consumers complained the chicken wings had an unusual odor, Tyson said in a news release.

Packages covered by this recall have the establishment code P-13456 above the heating instructions on the back of the bag and Product UPC 0 23700 01118 3 as well as date codes including “2975PBF05” or “2985PBF05.” Each bag also has a “Best if Used By” date of Oct. 24, 2016, or Oct. 25, 2016.

Consumers are urged not to eat the product. The recalled packages should be thrown out or returned to the retailer, according to an U.S. Agriculture Department recall announcement.
