A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg during a robbery Sunday on the Near West Side.

He was riding in a silver sedan about 1:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Van Buren Street with two females, one that he didn’t know, Chicago police said. One of the females pulled out a handgun and opened fire before taking his property.

The two females drove off westbound on I-290, and the man walked to Rush Hospital, police said. He was then transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
