Chicago police are warning drivers in Grand Crossing about a pair of carjackings that happened in the South Side neighborhood over the past week.

In both incidents, two males in their late teens approached someone who was stopped or parked in their vehicle, pulled out a gun and demanded the vehicle, Chicago police said.

The robberies happened about 10 p.m. July 13 in the 1300 block of East 71st Street and about 11:50 a.m. July 16 in the 1400 block of East 71st Street, police said.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
