Man shot to death in Riverdale

A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday in south suburban Riverdale.

Victor L. Johnson, 30, was shot at 10:17 a.m. in the 14300 block of South Tracy Avenue in Riverdale, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Johnson, who lived in Wrightwood on Chicago’s South Side, was taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, where he was pronounced dead at 10:53 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Riverdale police did not respond to requests for comment about the shooting.
