A 21-year-old man was shot dead Friday in Fernwood on the Far South Side, according to police.

Kyline J. Pruitt was inside a vehicle in the 200 block of West 105th Place when a silver-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Pruitt was shot multiple times in the body at 7:20 p.m. and took himself to Roseland Community Hospital, where he later died, authorities said. He lived in the same neighborhood where he was shot.

An autopsy Saturday ruled his death a homicide by multiple gunshot wounds.

The shooter’s vehicle was last seen driving northbound on Wentworth Avenue from 105th Place, authorities said.

Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
