A 39-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting Saturday in Garfield Park on the West Side.

She was driving northbound about 12:28 a.m. in the 300 block of North Hamlin Avenue when she heard gunfire and realized she was hit in the leg, Chicago police said.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
