Woman drives self to hospital after being shot on I-94 in south suburbs

Her car was reportedly shot 19 times.

A woman was shot while traveling on Interstate 94 in south suburban Dolton.

She was driving in the southbound lanes about 6:45 p.m. when she was struck once, Illinois State Police said.

She took herself to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, where she was listed in good condition, state police said.

All southbound lanes of I-94 were shut down at 130th Street for an investigation, state police said. They were reopened about 11:40 p.m.

The woman’s car had been shot 19 times, according to WGN-TV.
