Man shot, killed in Englewood

A 32-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday in Englewood on the South Side.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 4:07 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Loomis Boulevard, Chicago police said. There, they found Robert Scott with a gunshot wound to the head, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide in an autopsy conducted Sunday. He died from the gunshot wound to the head.

Area South detectives are investigating.
