A man was shot to death Friday in East Chicago, Indiana.

Jacque Anderson, 28, suffered gunshot wounds in the 1400 block of Carrol Street in East Chicago, according to the Lake County coroner’s office.

Anderson was pronounced dead at 3:51 p.m., and his death was ruled a homicide, the coroner’s office said. He lived in Gary.

East Chicago police did not immediately respond to a request for additional information.
