Someone unleashed gunfire Tuesday morning on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

Shots were fired about 9:10 a.m. in the southbound express lanes of Interstate 94 near Garfield Boulevard, Illinois State Police said. No injuries were reported.

Two southbound express lanes were shut down at 47th Street between 10:50 a.m. and 11:18 a.m., police said.

Illinois State Police are investigating.
