Burglars target Little Village, Lawndale homes: police

The burglar forced their way into the home through a back door in each case.

The latest burglary happened Jan. 15, 2020, in the 3300 block of West 19th Street.

Police are warning Little Village and Lawndale residents of burglaries to homes reported in recent weeks on the West and Southwest sides.

In both cases, the suspect forced their way into the home through a back door and took property from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

A burglary happened about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 9 in the 2100 block of South Drake Avenue, police said. Another took place between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of West 19th Street.

A description of any suspects was not immediately available.
