Burglar targets garages in Beverly: police

In each incident, an unknown person entered unlocked garages and took bicycles and lawn equipment from therein, police said.

Two garage burglaries were reported Feb. 4 and Feb. 5, 2020 in Rosemoor on the South Side.

Four garages were burglarized in December 2019 and January 2020 in Beverly on the South Side.

In each incident, an unknown person entered unlocked garages and took bicycles and lawn equipment from therein, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The burglaries happened between midnight and 6 a.m.:

  • Dec. 16 and 30 in the 9200 block of South Winchester Avenue;
  • Jan. 1 in the 9000 block of South Damen Avenue; and
  • Jan. 2 in the 8900 block of South Hoyne Avenue.
