Police say a group of men have been robbing residents on the Near North Side.
In five robberies over the last month, a group of two or three men snatched property and fled in a white SUV, Chicago police said.
The latest robbery happened about 9:05 p.m. Monday, when three men approached a group of three women walking in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street, police said.
One of the men struck a women with his fist, police said. They drove away with her property in a white SUV. She refused medical attention.
Other robberies were reported:
- in the evening of Jan. 3 in the 900 block of North Dewitt Place;
- in the morning of Jan. 2 in the 800 block of North Dewitt Place;
- in the late evening of Dec. 30, 2019 in the 200 block of East Pearson Street; and
- in the late evening of Dec. 24 in the 900 block of North Dewitt Place.
