Teen boy wounded in drive-by in South Chicago

About 10:45 p.m. he was walking on the sidewalk in the 8700 block of South South Chicago Avenue, when someone inside a passing dark sedan fired shots at him.

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by Monday in South Chicago on the South Side.

About 10:45 p.m. he was walking on the sidewalk in the 8700 block of South South Chicago Avenue, when someone inside a passing dark sedan fired shots at him, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Trinity Hospital by his parents and is in good condition, police said.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
