A man was found fatally shot Tuesday night in Hoffman Estates in the northwest suburbs.

Police released few details on the death, other than saying officers responded to a report of an “unknown problem” about 11:40 p.m. in the 200 block of West Berkley Lane and found the person dead at the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Roberto Avila Juarez. His death was ruled homicide.

Autopsy results released Wednesday revealed he died from a gunshot wound to his face, the medical examiner’s office said.

“The Hoffman Estates Police Department continues to investigate the incident,” police said Wednesday in a statement that didn’t elaborate on the circumstances.

A police spokesman wasn’t able to provide additional information.
