Man fatally stabbed during fight in backyard of home in Chatham

Malcolm Mullins was found unresponsive after getting into a “physical altercation” with multiple people in the backyard of a home in the 8200 block of South Dobson Avenue.

A man was stabbed to death during a fight with a group of people Saturday in the backyard of a home in Chatham on the South Side.

Just after noon, the 29-year-old was found unresponsive after getting into a “physical altercation” with multiple people in the backyard of a home in the 8200 block of South Dobson Avenue, Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene

Malcolm Mullins, who lived in Broadview, died of multiple stab wounds, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

Area Two detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
