Man found fatally shot in Englewood

Alexander Fletcher, 28, was found unresponsive in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his chest.

A man was killed in a shooting Friday in Englewood on the South Side.

Officers responded about 5:17 p.m. to the 6200 block of South Yale Avenue and found a male unresponsive in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his chest, Chicago police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Alexander Fletcher, 28, of Matteson.

Area One detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
