Man fatally shot inside home in South Chicago

Brandon Jefferson was inside a home in the 8100 block of South Bennett Avenue, when he was shot in the back multiple times.

A 30-year-old man was fatally shot inside a home Tuesday in South Chicago.

Brandon Jefferson was shot in the back multiple times about 4:40 a.m. inside a home in the 8100 block of South Bennett Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy ruled Jefferson’s death a homicide, saying he died of his injuries, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
