Lake View robberies: Armed suspects pepper spray residents

One of the robberies reported March, 12, 2020, took place in the 3400 block of North Halsted Street.

Police are warning residents in Lake View of a pair of armed robberies reported Thursday on the North Side.

The suspects stabbed someone in one of the robberies and used pepper spray in both, Chicago police said in a community alert.

One robbery happened at 2 a.m. in the 3400 block of North Hasted Street, while the other occurred about 7:50 a.m. in the 3200 block of North Sheffield Avenue, police said.

The suspects were described as three men in their 20s, police said.
