Homes burglarized in Humboldt Park, Ukrainian Village: police

In each incident, someone broke into homes through an unlocked door or uses a pry tool and stole property.

Five homes were burglarized in February and March 2020, in Humboldt Park and Ukrainian Village.

Five homes were burglarized in February and March in Humboldt Park and Ukrainian Village on the Northwest Side.

In each incident someone broke into homes through an unlocked door or used a pry tool to steal property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The burglaries happened:

  • Between 9 a.m. Feb. 20 and 12:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 2500 block of West Cortez Street;
  • Between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Feb. 27 in the 2600 block of West Augusta Boulevard;
  • About 10:30 p.m. March 9 in the 1900 block of West Chicago Avenue;
  • Between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and again between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. March 11 in the 1000 block of North Rockwell Street.
