A man was shot to death Tuesday in south suburban Harvey.

Dawayne McCauley, 40, was shot in the chest at 5:32 p.m. in the 14600 block of Jefferson Street in Harvey, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

McCauley was pronounced dead at 5:41 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy conducted Wednesday ruled his death a homicide.
