A 17-year-old boy was wounded when he was shot Friday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

He was walking about 11:30 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Chicago police said. The teen was struck in the chest, and he’s in fair condition at Stroger Hospital.

He hasn’t told investigators details about the incident, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
