Man, 20, shot to death in West Elsdon: police

He was on the street in the 5400 block of South Keeler Avenue when someone shot him in the back, police said.

A 20-year-old man was killed when he was shot Tuesday in West Elsdon on the Southwest Side, police said.

He was on the street about 3:34 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Keeler Avenue when someone in a vehicle fired shots, Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the back and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as being Antonio Wright Jr. He lived in Oak Lawn.

Area One detectives are investigating.
