A man was shot to death Sunday in Rosemoor on the South Side, according to police.

About 3:05 p.m., the 41-year-old was in a vehicle in an alley in the 400 block of East 103rd Street when someone walked up and fired shots, Chicago police said.

He was shot in the face and chest and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Jamal Maila Russell, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
