Woman in custody after multiple people stabbed in Gresham

The 46-year-old woman stabbed several people during an argument and was also wounded, police said.

Three people were killed in separate crashes across the Chicago area during a winter storm early Saturday.

A woman was taken into custody after stabbing three people Sunday in Gresham on the South Side.

They were arguing in the backyard of an apartment building about 9:15 p.m. in the 7600 block of South Union Avenue, Chicago police said. The 46-year-old woman began stabbing several people and was also stabbed by another person.

Three men were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds, police said. Chicago fire officials said they were in serious-to-critical condition.

The woman was taken to the same hospital in fair condition, police said. She was taken into custody.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
