Motorcycle thefts were reported in Bronzeville, Hyde Park

A motorcycle was stolen May 2, 2020, in the 5100 block of South Ingleside Avenue.

Police are warning residents on the South Side of a trio of motorcycle thefts reported in recent weeks in Bronzeville and Hyde Park on the South Side.

In each case, the owner discovered their motorcycle was missing from the location where it was parked, Chicago police said. Surveillance video of one of the thefts captured the suspects loading the motorcycle into the back of a white U-Haul truck.

The thefts happened:

  • About 11 a.m. May 2 in the 4900 block of South Drexel Boulevard;
  • Between noon April 30 and noon May 2 in the 5200 block of South Dorchester Avenue; and
  • About 2:30 a.m. May 2 in the 5100 block of South Ingleside Avenue.

The suspects were described as three males, police said.
