Police warn of recent business burglaries on Near West Side

In each incident, someone smashed a window with a brick or rock.

Two burglaries were reported in the 1500 block of West Lake Street.

Police are warning businesses on the Near West Side of two recent burglaries.

In each incident, someone smashed a window with a brick or rock and stole valuables from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened before dawn April 29 and May 1 in the 1500 block of West Lake Street, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8263.
