Police are warning businesses on the Near West Side of two recent burglaries.

In each incident, someone smashed a window with a brick or rock and stole valuables from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened before dawn April 29 and May 1 in the 1500 block of West Lake Street, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8263.
