Police are warning residents about a series of apartment burglaries since last month in Chatham on the South Side.

In each case, someone entered an apartment through a rear door and took property including cash, wallets, purses, televisions, jewelry, cellphones, tablets and video game systems, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

Two of the break-ins happened in the 7900 block of South Eberhart Avenue, one at 8:37 a.m. April 25 and the other at 5:40 a.m. April 27, police said.

Two others happened in the 8000 block of South Rhodes Avenue, first about 1:30 a.m. May 1 and again about noon May 5, according to police.

No suspect description was available.
