Man in custody after fatal Old Town shooting

Officers found a 41-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds about 2:10 a.m. in the hallway of a building in the 1300 block of North Hudson Avenue, Chicago police said.

A 16-year-old boy was shot Aug. 4, 2022, in Little Village.

A man was shot to death June 10, 2020, in Old Town on the North Side.

A man was taken into custody Wednesday after Chicago police officers saw him running from the scene of a fatal shooting in Old Town on the North Side.

Officers found a 32-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds about 2:10 a.m. in the hallway of a building in the 1300 block of North Hudson Avenue, Chicago police said.

Courtney Horton, of Homan Square, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

After the shooting, officers saw a man running from the scene and chased him onto the roof of a building in the 1400 block of North Cleveland Avenue, police said. The officers found a gun and arrested him.

Area Three detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
