3 juvenile detainees escape police custody

Officers were bringing them to the Juvenile Intervention and Support Center when they got away, police said.

Three juvenile detainees escaped police custody Monday while being transported to a support center.

Officers were trying to take them to the Juvenile Intervention and Support Center about 7:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of South California Avenue when they escaped, police said.

Police did not immediately provide further information.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
