Man killed in Burnside domestic shooting

A man was shot to death Saturday in Burnside on the South Side.

The 33-year-old was shot multiple times in the shoulder during a domestic dispute about 6:20 a.m. in the 9300 block of South Lyon Avenue, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as Dangelo Byrd, of Country Club Hills. An autopsy said he died of a gunshot wound from his left arm into his chest, and his death was ruled a homicide.
