Teen boy shot dead in Grand Crossing

A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot Tuesday in Grand Crossing on the South Side.

He was shot multiple times in the chest about 5:19 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 74th Street, Chicago police said.

Cincere Joiner was pronounced dead on the scene, the Cook County Medical examiner’s office said. Autopsy results Wednesday found he died from his gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

Area One detectives are investigating.
