2 armed robberies reported in Altgeld Gardens

In each case, two to three teen boys approached someone and demanded property at gunpoint, police said.

Two armed robberies were reported July 15 and July 23, 2020, in Altgeld Gardens.

Police are warning Far South Side residents of two robberies that happened this month in Altgeld Gardens.

In each case, two to three suspects approached someone, pulled out guns and demanded property, Chicago police said.

They happened:

  • July 15 in the 13200 block of South Corliss Avenue and
  • July 23 in the 13000 block of South Evans Avenue.

The suspects are described as 15 to 17-year-old boys standing 5-foot-7 to 6-feet tall and 125 to 130 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8273.
