No one is in custody after a 29-year-old woman was killed in a domestic stabbing Wednesday afternoon in Parkway Gardens on the South Side.

According to the Chicago police, a man she knew stabbed her multiple times around 3:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, the notoriously dangerous block known as “O Block.”

Sierra Ford was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled her death a homicide.

Detectives believe they know who stabbed the woman, but he remains at large, a police spokesman said Thursday afternoon.
