Woman hit by vehicle in Burnside dies days later

Someone hit the 35-year-old with a stolen vehicle July 29, authorities said.

A 35-year-old woman who was hit by a vehicle last month in Burnside on the South Side died from her injuries.

Someone she knew stole a vehicle and ran her over about 9:30 p.m. July 29 in the 8800 block of South Greenwood Avenue, Chicago police said. She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Police said it was a domestic-related incident.

The woman died Sunday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s list. She was identified as Dominique Boone, of Roseland. Autopsy results found she died from her injuries and ruled her death a homicide.

No arrests have been made. Area Four detectives are investigating.
