Man shot to death in Morgan Park

Montrell Lee, 27, was shot in the chest and back about 11:35 p.m. while driving through an alley in the 1000 block of West 108th Place, officials said.

A man was fatally shot Thursday in Morgan Park on the South Side.

The 27-year-old was shot in the chest and back about 11:35 p.m. while driving through an alley in the 1000 block of West 108th Place, Chicago police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Montrell Lee. He lived in Washington Heights.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
