A 39-year-old man was shot to death Thursday in Woodlawn on the South Side.

He was in the 6100 block of South Evans Avenue at 12:20 p.m. when shots rang out, Chicago police said.

The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he died, police said.

He was identified as Doran Wallace, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

No arrest has been made.
