A 15-year-old boy was killed in a stabbing Wednesday in north suburban Glenview.
Officers responded about 7:10 p.m. to the 1200 block of Greenwood Road for reports of a person down and found Elias Valdez lying in a grassy area with a stab wound to the chest, Glenview police said.
He was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where he died in surgery, police said.
An autopsy ruled his death a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He lived in an unincorporated area near Glenview.
