Man shot dead in Chicago Heights

Anthony Williams, 23, was shot multiple times in the 500 block of Andover Street, officials said.

A Chicago Heights man was killed in a shooting Wednesday in the south suburb.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired about 11:38 p.m. in the 500 block of Andover Street, Chicago Heights police said.

There, Anthony Williams, 23, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

An autopsy ruled his death a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
