Man killed in Brighton Park shooting

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed Monday morning in the Brighton Park neighborhood.

Officers responded about 11:25 a.m. and found him lying on a sidewalk in the 4000 block of South Sacramento Avenue, Chicago police said in a statement. He was taken to a hospital and died of a gunshot wound to his leg.

The suspects left in a blue Chevy Trailblazer.

The man was identified as Rene Jaime-Saucedo by the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.
