Woman critically hurt in Humboldt Park double shooting

A woman was critically wounded in a double shooting Tuesday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

A man and woman were in the front of a home when shots rang out about 2:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, according to a Chicago police statement.

The woman, 37, was shot in her head while the man, 56, was struck in his calf, police said.

They were taken to Stroger Hospital, where the woman was listed in critical condition and the man was listed in good condition.
