A Norfolk Southern Railroad police officer exchanged gunfire with a suspect Saturday in Back of the Yards.

The shootout unfolded about 6:11 p.m. in the 4800 block of South Halsted Street, according to Chicago police.

No injuries were reported in the incident, police said.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Southern didn’t immediately respond to a request for details.
