Man shot in suburban Joliet

Witnesses told officers they heard two gunshots and saw two males running.

Joliet police are investigating six overdoses, three of them fatal, that could be related to cocaine laced with fentanyl.

A 21-year-old man was shot Saturday in suburban Joliet, according to Will County sheriff’s office.

About 3:50 p.m., officers responded to 3rd Avenue and Anderson Avenue, for calls of shots fired and found the man on the ground with a gunshot wound to his torso, the sheriff’s office said.

Witnesses told officers they heard two gunshots and saw two males running.

He was brought to the hospital where his condition was stabilized.

The man, 21, was found with gunshot wounds to his back and left shoulder in the 9600 block of South Princeton Avenue about 11:35 p.m., police said.
The man, 45, was found by officers with multiple gunshot wounds in the 10700 block of South Champlain Avenue.
